Our invention the “Ice Cream Ice Bowl” is an improved invention of the already existing one. On the count of one through six, I would rate my group’s final product as a 4.5. Overall, my group and I worked together great. When it came to the part when we were to come up with the actual idea, Yea Jun was very active and kept throwing out ideas, which was eventually compromised with mine to come up with our final product. However, when it came to the position when we had to write, draw, and decorate our poster, he became very absent to ideas, and showed no interest (genders!). Despite his absences, we worked together as a group very well. He came up with ideas I never thought to come up with, and his ideas were very interesting and creative. Yea Jun first suggested that in the outer, hollow bowl, there could be a small, steel pipe circling, which is where the water would go. I accepted the idea, and when we started working on the poster and drawing diagrams, an idea popped into my head saying that the steel tube was unnecessary in a way, because that was when I came up with the idea that the whole outer bowl should be hollow, where water should be poured in. So in a way Yea Jun and I both contributed ideas to our inventions, which led us to our final product. We were both involved equally in the beginning part, but that proportion became unbalanced when we moved on the poster part, where I performed most of the time, but I feel like I shouldn’t blame him for that because it’s just not a guy thing to decorate posters with different colors.
In my opinion, the Design Cycle was always what seemed like a waste of time and effort, but this time, my partner and I, we accomplished our work according to our plan, exactly. The Design Cycle is a very accurate of breaking down big projects into parts that we can actually accomplish. It helps us not to panic when we see a huge mission waiting to be accomplished. I changed my mind about the Design Cycle after this project, because it was the first time ever for me to accomplish a project according to our plan exactly. In my opinion, this happened because I wrote plan considering my abilities, and I knew what I was going to or not going to get done if I wrote an unreasonable deadline. The fact that I completed my final product according to my plan is incredible and it is a first for me, because I always find a way to change something about my plan, or I goof off in one class and don’t do what I was supposed to get done by the end of that period, which messes up everything.
What kept me motivated and on task was my partner. Yea Jun and I have never worked together as partners before, so it was a first time for both of us. For me, it’s very important to be partners or in a group with people that you don’t normally socialize with. If I was partners with my friend, then we would probably chat throughout the project and not do anything productive. However, for some people, being in a group with someone they feel comfortable sharing their ideas with is an advantage as opposed to being a disadvantage. But for me, it never really works out well.
I would like to say that this project really convinced me to change my mind about the Technology Design Cycle. It is probably about the first time I have actually known what I was supposed to do throughout the whole project. I know that it is a start, but to reach something, I have got to start from the bottom. I am glad that I figured it out before our next big project.

Yay, you got it! The DC seems like useless work at first, but you gained some insight into your work patterns. Terrific@
